Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling presents its characters
Idea Factory has announced that to celebrate the release of Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling, they will be releasing new character videos until May 28th for Nintendo Switch, which is the release date for the game. A new trailer will be released at 6:00 pm BST each day until the scheduled day.
In previous days, fans have been able to enjoy the character video of Merenice on May 21, followed by Gill on May 22, and Shelby on May 23. On May 24th, the trailer for Raul will be released. On May 25th, fans will be able to watch the video for Ryuki, while on May 26th, the trailer for Allan will be published.
Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling is an otome game by developer Otomate (LoverPretender and Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau) and serves as a sequel to the visual novel Cupid Parasite. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch in both physical and digital formats with text in English.
Additionally, there will be a limited edition available for purchase at a price of 130 euros, which includes as additional content to the game an exclusive card, a 75-page hardcover artbook, a two-CD audiodrama, and a set of postcards, accompanied by a rigid accordion display booklet. The edition also comes with a metal case and reversible cover for the game, all packaged in a collector’s special box.
It is worth noting that writer Ririka Yoshimura and illustrator Yuuya are once again in charge of this new installment of the Cupid Parasite franchise. Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling, a continuation of the otome game Cupid Parasite released on September 28, 2023 in Japan, includes three different game modes. The After drama mode continues the story of the original game characters. The New Parasite mode focuses on Merenice Levin, a new character in the franchise. Finally, the Bonus Episode mode allows players to enjoy six extra episodes and new game images.
The visual novel Cupid Parasite, developed by Otomate, was originally released in Japan in August 2020 and later in 2021 in Europe with English text. This visual novel set in a matchmaking agency had five possible different endings and a novel flowchart system to not miss any conversation.
